Acoustic Treatment
The acoustic properties of the room you record and produce in can make the difference between a great mix which sounds "finished" and a mix that will always sound like a demo. Designing the perfect acoustic treatment solution for your studio requires a combination of science, aesthetics and your own personal preference for how "dead" or "live" you would like it be. Rooms that are overly deadened can sound dull and be tiring to the ear after a while; also, just because reverberations have been reduced, it does not necessarily follow that the frequency response of the room is even and without dead spots or frequency humps.
