This new model is the result of 2 years development aided by many professional players from around the world and is Hammond's first truly portable organ.
The design brief was to bring together the best Hammond sounds as featured on the B3 and XK3C (using the VASEIII sound engine), along with the other essential sounds a keyboard player needs, high quality acoustic pianos, vintage electric pianos, vintage strings, pipe organs and many others. In addition to the 100 preset patches you can load in another 100 user patches from USB.
Retro and sytlish the SK1 weighs in at a mere 7kg. It has real physical drawbars. It is a midi controller keyboard with 3 assignable midi zones.
It also has a music player feature which enables playback of WAV and MP3 files from the USB socket.

Tried the SK-1 at Production Room, really impressed, the organ has the classic grit of an XK-3, the electric pianos and clav are also pleasingly good. The size is great for gigging. Well recommended.
