Stone Roses Confirmed to Headline V Fest

Image for this Article

The Sun claims that the recently reformed Madchester legends will pocket a £1 million payday for the shows, which will take place next August over two sites at Chelmsford and Staffordshire.

A 'source' said: The Roses' upcoming tour has been put together by SJM, the same tour promoters who have looked after Take That, Oasis, and Coldplay for their massive shows. Every year V Festival pulls in some huge acts. Eminem and Rihanna, who played this year, will be tough acts to follow, but the Roses are a massive draw.

Earlier this week (November 7), The Stone Roses confirmed that they would also be headlining three other festivals next year. They will play Benicassim in Spain, which takes place July 12?15, 2012. They will also top the bill at Scotland's T In The Park, which takes place the weekend before, July 6?8 and appear at Fuji Rocks in Japan later that month.

Ian Brown and co will also play three huge homecoming gigs at Heaton Park on June 29, 30 and July 1.
