The music industry looses yet another icon

Pop icon Whitney Houston died of a drug overdose on the Saturday 11th February 2012 in suite number 434 of the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Coroners have informed the Houston family that the singer's lungs did not have enough water in them for her to have drowned and that her went under water after she had drowned.
It has also come to light that the award winning singer was on the brink of bankruptcy due to her addiction to crack cocaine.
It has been reported that Whitney Houston died from a mixture of Xanax, Lorazepam, Valium and many other powerful prescription drugs mixed with alcohol. The room she was found in was said to be littered with bottles of prescription drugs.
Paramedics battled to revive her but failed and she was pronounced dead at 3.55pm, literally hours before she was supposed to be performing at the 2012 pre-Grammys party at the Hilton hotel in which she was found.
Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston's ex-husband, flew back to LA after breaking down in concert.
Tributes poured in following the news with eulogies from the likes of Rihanna and Katy Perry taking place at the Grammys award ceremony.
The question for the future is how can the music industry prevent the loss of such musical icons as Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse?
