The eight track recorders are hard-wired to the internal tracks and thus always ready to sample. They can record stereo or mono audio from the external inputs, from the main and cue outputs, from the individual tracks and from various combinations of these sources. A sample recorded by a track recorder immediately ends up in a dedicated sample slot, ready to be played back.
