NAMM 2010 Preview: Alesis VideoTrack

Alesis, a leading manufacturer of professional audio equipment and
studio electronics, announces the VideoTrack handheld audio/video
recorder. Alesis will introduce the VideoTrack at the 2010 Winter NAMM
Show in Anaheim.
The VideoTrack is a portable video recorder designed for musicians
capturing gigs and rehearsals, and is equally useful for everyday
applications such as a night out, kids soccer matches or creating
videos to share on Web sites such as YouTube. The VideoTrack employs
Alesis renowned audio recording technology including the same
high-quality stereo condenser microphone set found on the ProTrack
handheld recorder for iPod.
The VideoTrack has a quality video lens and advanced DSP
image-processing technology. In addition to working as a video camera,
the VideoTrack doubles as a handy still-image camera for on-the-go
snapshots. Users can operate the VideoTrack on either its internal,
rechargeable battery, or plugged into a wall-power source. It records
onto standard SD cards and connects via USB to virtually any Mac or PC
for easy video transfer.
The VideoTrack is easy to operate; with a large on-screen display and a
five-way control system. Users can easily mount it on a camera tripod
or table stand for stable recording. They can monitor audio by plugging
in a pair of headphones and even watch playback on a TV or other
monitor with the VideoTracks video output jack.
Video is the fastest-growing type of media in todays social media
environment, said Adam Cohen, Director of Business Development,
Alesis. The VideoTrack makes it easy to capture great looking and
great sounding video anywhere.
The VideoTrack will be available from musical instrument and pro audio retailers in April 2010.
