On Saturday 18th August the Production Room held the second in our series of monthly master classes. This time we were graced with the presence of the mighty Steinberg UK team.
The team were here to discuss how computer software can faithfully reproduce acoustic sound ranging from real vocals to full orchestral arrangements. Having recently hooked up with Australian microphone manufacturers Rode, they also gave us an insight into microphone placement, and the use and application microphone pre-amps and effects.
We were also treated to the UK launch of Steinbergs The Grand 3, the incredible, new sampled grand, upright and electronic piano Virtual Instrument. The master class was a huge success and gave us the opportunity to learn from industry professionals about creating and recording music featuring real instruments and their software counterparts.
We would like to say a massive thank you to the Steinberg team for coming out and giving us a really fun and informative day.
