i-MX1 is a MIDI interface for Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch. By connecting an instrument and iPad to the i-MX1 it is possible to play iOS Apps with a keyboard, drum kit or any other instrument that has a MIDI port.

What Makes them great?
Apples iPad has proven itself to be a handy tool, combining a very slick touch panel interface into a well sized, yet portable unit.
Until now though iPad has served only the gadget/novelty side of the music industry, but used in conjunction with i-MX1 this no longer need be the case.
In a small black device, the i-MX1 houses the required electronics and two connectors for the included adapter cables which represent the MIDI input and output (16 MIDI channels).
i-MX1 does not just connect to iPad, but to the iPhone and iPod Touch as well. Since these devices are much smaller they are at times even more handy controllers.
The i-MX1 is compatible with drivers provided by the iPad iOS (iOS, CoreMIDI) so there's no need for special drivers. So even third-party applications that are using the iOS drivers can use the i-MX1 as a MIDI interface
